Law Enforcement Sniper

Service Description

Lightning Tactical Law Enforcement Sniper is designed to provide the LE Sniper with the tools to address today’s ever- increasing threats. This 40 hr course will prepare selected snipers for operational deployment. Topics include: •gear selection •zeroing your rifle • varied positions • moving targets •range estimation •over-watch •field-craft Attire •Sniper deployment uniform and assigned kit worn by your individual agency for call-out is recommended (BDU style pants and shirts are acceptable if in compliance with your agency’s policy and procedure) •Deployment or police boots, an athletic hiking shoe is acceptable. Required Equipment •Department-issued or approved sniper rifle with quality scope •500 rounds of match grade ammo for sniper rifle •Issue or duty handgun •100 rounds handgun ammo •Tactical gear or duty gear with pistol holster and spare mag carriers •Extra pistol magazines •Eye and ear protection •Data/DOPE book •Sharpie/marker •Rifle cleaning equipment •Equipment to care for individual rifle/optics (i.e. torque wrench/lens pen) •Water transport device •Rain/cold weather gear Suggested Equipment •Binoculars •Spotting scope •Insect repellent •Sunscreen •IFAK/first-aid kit with combat applications tourniquet •Knee and elbow pads • Shooting mat
